The popular Kannada film actor Srinagara Kitty while shooting at Parappana Agrahara Prison for eight days for his film Sanju Weds Geetha that also star beautiful Ramya picked up an idea in favor of the inmates who have passed the term but slogging in the prison for want of meager money. There were some finishing the jail term and not having a few thousands to pay the fee and actor Kitty made a list of them and promised to help them soon.
Finishing the portion of shooting at the prison he established his contacts and found Zee Foundation accepting his novel thought. With the team of Swayamvara the latest film of Srinagara Kitty took part in the one hour Salakkondu Salam television program to earn Rs.1 lakh for the prisoners of Parappana Agrahara.
Actors Srinagara Kitty, Sharmila Mandre, Anand and director Ananthraju of Swayamvara film took part in the one hour television program that was telecast on Wednesday night in Zee Kannada from 9.30 to 10.30 pm.
It was not an easy task for the team of Swayamvara team to earn Rs.1 lakh. They had to take part in the quiz competition. In the Savings Bank, Joint account, current account and blank cheque rounds only Kitty remained among the four. For the last question that was very difficult Kitty took the risk and picked one of the four options right.
Familiar Kannada film actress Varsha (alias Sindhu) was the anchor of this show Salakkondu Salaam (bidding good bye to loan) that is very popular among many channels programs at 9.30 pm slot.
The Zee Foundation has released the cheque of Rs.1 lakh on behalf of Swayamvara Kannada cinema to Parappana Agrahara prison inmates welfare fund.
