Film bodies demand unconditional apology from Ajith

The controversy over the speech of Ajith at the CM felicitation function on Feb 6 has stirred the entire film industry. Even after many statements and counter statements the issue is still simmering.
At a specially convened meeting today all the major film bodies, including artistes association, has demanded Ajith to render unconditional apology to the Tamil film fraternity for hurting their feelings with his speech. And the members expressed their agony over Rajinikanth appreciating Ajith for his bold words and also condemned Rajinikanth.
The meeting also decided to withdraw their earlier 'no co-operation' call to Rajini-Ajith films heeding to requests from the producers council and artistes association.
At the end of the meeting it was decided that the issue has been discussed enough and is declared over. It also said nobody should here after talk about this issue in media either individually or on behalf of an organisation.
The media statement was signed by FEFSI President V C Guhanathan, Distributors Association President Kalaipuli G. Sekaran, Producers Council President Rama Narayanan and Artistes Association Secretary Radha Ravi.
