No, Prasanna has not replaced Arun Vijay in 'Maanja Velu' directed by A Venkatesh. But the name of the character the actor playing in 'Baana' is ‘Maanja Velu’.

Says the film's director Badri Venkatesh, "After 'Anjathey', Prasanna is playing a role with negative shades in 'Baana'. He is doing Maanja Velu, a North Chennai based don. But the character has some positive sides too."

On the movie, he says, "There is a perception about North Chennai in the minds of people living in other parts of the city. 'Baana' would break the myth".

Throwing more light on the movie, the debutant director says, "the film is about a North Chennai guy (Murali's son Adharva), who falls for a beautiful girl living in the other side of the metropolis. In the meantime, he has to cross swords with a don (Prasanna), whom he admired once."

On roping in Adharva, he says, "We came across Adharva when we were searching for a new face to play the protagonist. We were doubly happy when we came to know he is Murali's son."
