“Simplicity should be the hallmark of a film. Being a producer myself, I know the travails the producers have to undergo today. I make a film within the prescribed budget and thus ensure that they will stand to gain,” says Sasikumar.

The actor-filmmaker is now getting ready to make a movie for Vikram’s production firm. He says: “Vikram's passion for films is well-known. Though he is a busy actor, he has this urge to produce quality films, which should be appreciated.”

On the movie, he says, “the movie will not have songs that need to be shot in foreign locales nor will it require huge sets to be erected. It is an emotional and a sensitive tale. The yet-to-be titled film is a character-driven script. There are no heroes or heroines as such.”

Again lending his voice for producers, Sasi says, “As a director, I feel it is my responsibility to live up to the expectations of my producer. My film will make Vikram as well as the audience happy.”
