Superstar Rajinikanth will have to go for a sequel to ‘Chandramukhi’, if he wants to fulfill a wish of his good friend and Kannada top actor Vishnuvaradhan, who passed away recently.

Speaking to reporters after calling on the late artiste’s wife Bharathi in Bangalore Wednesday, Rajinikanth, whose ‘Chandramukhi’ was a remake of Vishnuvaradhan’s ‘Apthamithra’, said: “Vishnuvaradhan was doing a sequel to ‘Apthamithra’, titled ‘Aptharaksha’. He wanted me to remake it in Tamil.”

Recalling his friendship with the Sandalwood superstar, the Kollywood superstar said: “I know him for the past three decades. We were very good friends. In fact, it was Vishnuvaradhan who asked me to act in Tamil films.”

Elaborating more, he said: “When I was in a dilemma as to whether concentrate on Kannada or Tamil movies, Vishnuvaradhan wanted me to focus on Tamil saying that it would be nice if a man from Karnataka becomes a top actor in Tamil cinema.”

“We used to meet each other often and our last meeting was three months ago. I have missed a valuable friend of mine,” Rajini added. He was accompanied by wife Latha Rajinikanth.
