The promos of Dayanidhi Alagiri's production venture 'Thamizh Padam' have kindled curiosity. Being claimed as a first full-length spoof on the Tamil film industry, the movie's ads on newspapers have its 'hero' Siva in the costumes of some popular heroes.

Speaking about the film, Dayanidhi says, "It is a complete laugh- riot and a celebration of Tamil cinema. It is something like Hollywood’s hot shot or scary movies. However, despite being a spoof it does not offend anyone."

Directed by ad filmmaker-turned-director Amudhan, the movie has been shot fully in 'Red One' camera with Nirav Shah taking care of the cinematography. Kannan debuts as the music director.

Mumbai girl Deesha Pandey plays the female lead while the rest of the cast includes M S Baskar, 'Venniradai' Murthy and Manobala. Yesteryear actress Kasthoori appears for a song.
