Shooting of the long pending Malayalam film ‘Casanova’ is scheduled to start by January 2010 in Dubai. At this time we hear that Arya who was supposed to play Mohanlal’s buddy, the actor has opted out of the project for some unknown reasons.

Rumour mills are abuzz that Arya has clear plans of establish himself in Tamil and that will be his main focus. We also hear that Arya has got an offer from his ‘Naan Kadavul’ director, Bala and that made him to make up his mind against ‘Casanova’.

Thankfully the team of ‘Casanova’ has found another alternative at the right time and helped the movie from further delay. Remember Ganesh Venkatraman who played the angry young police officer in Kamal’s Unnaipol Oruvan? Sources say that he was recommended by Mohanlal himself to don the role that was offered to Arya.
