The friendship between to legendary cine stars was seen during the launch of biography written by Nandita Puri. The launch function that was held in Sheraton Park saw the presence of who’s who of the industry. Veteran actor Om Puri’s official biography ‘Unlikely Hero Om Puri’, by his journalist wife Nandita Puri, was released by Kamal Haasan on December 14th.

The biography also describes about Puri's ride from poverty to becoming one of the most celebrated actors now. According to Nandita, the book tells the story about a man with all his human flaws, weakness, his liberality and also his anger, his innocence and a lot of things that make him more civilized.

The biography has a foreword by late Hollywood actor Patrick Swayze and was published by Roli books.
