‘Mudhal Mudhal Mudhal Varai’ (M3V) a film directed by Krishna Seshadri Gomadam, has bagged the Silver Award for Best Digital Feature Film at the Cairo International Film Festival concluded recently.

Winning awards is nothing new for the ‘first multiplex movie’ of Tamil cinema, as the film had bagged other honours earlier. Within weeks of its release, ‘M3V’ was screened at the Indian Panorama in the International Film Festival of India.

Then the film bagged the Best Drama Genre Award at the New York International Film and Video Festival in March 2009. A few weeks later, ‘M3V’ was selected for the Creative Excellence Award at the Houston Film Festival.

The movie, which has newcomers in lead roles, deals with aspects of life in a metropolitan city like Chennai in an endearing way. The film was critically acclaimed, though it failed to create waves in the box-office.
