“Half the battle is won when you have a good story on hand,” says Karan, who is eagerly expecting the release of ‘Kanagavel Kakka’. “Gripping storyline, good technicians and dedicated artistes are the three requisites of success,” he says.

“Kanagavel Kakka has an interesting script and is laced with commercial elements. Noted writer Pa Raghavan has penned the dialogues. Hopefully it would be a ticket to big time stardom for me,” he says with all hope.

Dwelling on the movie, he says, “Director Kavin Bala is my long-time friend. We were keen to do a movie that would have a strong message as well as entertainment value. Thanks to my producer Saravana R and co-producer Kishore G Sha, our dreams have been realised.”

The movie features Bangalore girl Haripriya opposite Karan. Avinash, Kotta Sreenivasa Rao, Raj Kapoor, Sampath Raj and Adhitya form part of the cast. Music is by Vijay Antony.

Heaping laurels on the director, Karan says, “He is a bundle of talent. He has made the movie engrossing, right from the word go. Vijay Antony has come out with a mix of melodies and peppy numbers.”
