Come December, it is releases galore in Tollywood. With high stakes running on these films, the Telugu industry is going to see the biggest gamble in a year's time. They are in total six films, but the business is valued at over 100 crores. From Nagarjuna's whodunit Rummy to Allu Arjun's stylish Arya2 to Junior NTR's mass-entertainer Adurs. From Shekar Kammula's exalted socio-political offering Leader to Madan's Pravarakhyudu that will "re-define our understanding of love."
First, we have Arya2, directed by Sukumar. A cursory glance at the trailers will convince you that this one is a big league film - slick and snazzy, this one is Arjun's high class outing. Next in the queue is Jagapathi Babu-starrer Pravarakhyudu, directed by Madan. If you are not having much expectations from this one, it will only benefit Pravarakhyudu. "This movie is about finding the purest form of love."
Then you have YVS Chowdary's film Saleem, starring Manchu Vishnu. Watch out for the release as Illeana sizzles the screens in this romantic love story. Junior NTR's fans will have a crazy release to raise toast to. VV Vinayak is coming back after a long time, so this time you can expect him to have worked for this Junior-starrer with a vengeance. Adikeshava Reddy intimidated. Samba did not hold though. Let us see if Adurs repeats the Adi magic.
If it was not for Shekar Kammula, a Daggubati Rana's debut would not have received much media attention. Produced by AVM, this one is a mystery for the rest of us. Except those associated with the film, none has an idea of what the film's subject. The film titled Leader, it has our protagonist turning saviour. Will he espouse a blueprint for development? Let us wait and watch.
Interestingly, Leader will have a competitor in Nagarjuna's Rummy. The Akkineni is pairing up with Mamatha Mohandas and the film is being shot in Goa. Sandeep Chowtha's music will be its asset.
We are getting a sumptuous dose of entertainment in the coming weeks. |
