What’s next for Vasantha Balan after ‘Angadi Theru’? Well, the filmmaker himself has an interesting answer to this question. “Again a movie that reflects human emotions in a realistic way,” he says.

Circles close to the ‘Veyil’ director maintain that he is busy penning the script for his next venture as ‘Angadi Theru’ is ready for release. They also say that the director is keen to direct an English movie, to reach to the global audience.

And the director has no hesitation in accepting this. “Yes, it is my dream to direct an international subject which would appeal to all sections of movie lovers. To put it in a nutshell, the film would be like ‘Slumdog Millionaire’”.

On ‘Angadi Theru’, he says, “it is a film on a boy and girl who work in a retail store. It will be totally different from my earlier two ventures- ‘Veyil’ and ‘Album’. But there is one common thing between all these three films, that is, realism.”
