The multilingual movie ‘Pazhassi Raja’ is a big hit in Malayalam. It is also the only film that enjoys highest ever three day opening collection in Kerala.

Producer Gokulam Gopalan arranged a special screening of this blockbuster’s Tamil version at Chennai Four Frames preview theatre for our CM M. Karunanidhi. And recently the Tamil version of the film was trimmed by 30 minutes. The original version that was 3 hours 15 minutes long was cut short to 2 hours and 45 minutes.

While the Tamil audience are eager to watch the historical film, we have got to know that the film’s release in the state is postponed. The film that was slated to hit the floor on 13th of November is rescheduled to be released on November 20th (Friday). Sources close to the film’s makers say that the heavy rain flooding the state is the cause for the film’s postponement.

After the film is trimmed to ensure that it suits the taste of Tamil audience and as a film on monarchy and freedom fight is releasing after a long time, ‘Pazhassi Raja’ is sure to conquer the state!
