It is going to be a clash of titans in ‘Rettaisuzhi’, as this production venture of director Shankar after ‘Eeram’ has brought together K Balachandar and Bharathiraja, the two ace filmmakers of Tamil cinema, as actors.

A family drama with comedy and sentiments in the right mix, Bharathiraja is playing the role of ‘Comrade Singaravelar’, a Communist, while Balachandar as Ramaswamy, a Congress activist. ‘Rettaisuzhi’ is the debut directorial venture of Thamira. “The film will be a great treat for children and family audiences. It has 22 children aged 6-16 in prominent roles. It is a delight to direct KB and Bharathiraja. They have a strong admiration for each other,” says the director.

“Karthik Raja’s musical score is a major plus for the movie. His compositions are of the soul-stirring variety,” Thamira adds. The shooting is over and plans are on to release ‘Rettaisuzhi’ this December.
