After ‘Kirukkalgal’, R Parthiban is ready with next book. Titled ‘Summa’, this too will be a collection of poems written by the actor-filmmaker.

“Aptly resembling the title, the book will be a freewheeling collection of my thoughts on various issues. ‘Summa’ will hit the stores soon,” says Parthiban, who is currently busy with his forthcoming film ‘Viththagan’.

On the movie, he says, “‘Viththagan’ is a commercial venture and I don’t believe in experimenting with other’s money. The producers are Seventh Channel Communications, which made ‘Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu’ and ‘Indiralogathil Naa Azhagappan.’ Both of us need a hit now.”

“Poorna of ‘Muniyandi Vilangial Moonramandu’ fame plays the heroine. Milind Soman is the villain of ‘Viththagan.’ We have plenty of new faces too. These days it is they who lend authenticity to roles. There’s a lot of comedy, but no comedian,” he adds.

“Whom do you like — actor Parthiban or director Parthiban?” To this question, he says, “Actor Parthiban likes director Parthiban and director Parthiban likes actor Parthiban. Both admire each other a lot.”
