What's 'Nellaipattinam' all about?

J C J Sujith, who apprenticed under noted Malayalam filmmaker Lal Jose, is making his debut in Tamil. He is wielding the megaphone besides penning the story for a movie titled 'Nellaipattinam'.
"Though I started my career in Malayalam filmdom, I had this dream of working in Tamil cinema. Thanks to producer Vigin Anbu, I am trying my luck inTamil," he says.
On the movie, he says, "It is about a rivalry between two families in Thirunelveli. The movie occurs in Nellai as the title suggests".
"Sowparnika, who has done several Malayalam movies, is making her debut in Tamil with Uday, a native of Thrissur. Uday who is the male protagonist bears a striking resemblance to actor Vijay," says Sujith
Plans are on to make the movie in Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada too, he says and adds, "It is a commercial entertainer laced with action and romance."
