Sasi Kumar is back to business now. Grapevine was abuzz once that a 52 year old man would be the hero of the director’s upcoming project. But now it is not the case.

What we here now from the director’s close circuit is that the script has ten important characters. And all the ten will have equal influence all through the script.

The director has chosen our Singara Chennai as his script’s backdrop this time and has named it ‘Nagaram’. We heard that when his people asked Sasi to show his face at least in one frame, he said a firm ‘No’! The director is sure that he will be a full time director in this one and will not appear in front of the camera.

All right, so why has Sasi suddenly jumped into urban subjects, leaving behind the rustic ones? And if you had observed well, you will see that after Ameer did his ‘Paruthiveeran’, Sasi Kumar (his assistant) did ‘Subramaniapuram’- Both are rustic subjects. And when Ameer is ready with his ‘Yogi’, Sasi is starting ‘Nagaram’- Both are tales about Chennai.

Don’t you feel a little thing is always connected between the guru and the pupil? Once director Ameer said jokingly that associates are the ones who are the real competitors of their mentors. (Guruvai Minjum Sishyan!)

Emmm…Now we feel it’s true!
