Pyramid Saimira bounces back

It seems that Pyramid Saimira, the production company which created waves a couple of years ago, is back at the helm of affairs again.
With all hopes, P S Swaminathan, chairman of Pyramid Saimira Productions International Limited, said on Monday that they would produce 28 films and 1785 hours of TV content for the fiscal year 2010- 2011.
Announcing his company's stragetic alliance with RDB Group, a major infrastructure player in the eastern and western India in Chennai Monday, Swaminathan said, 'having learnt the nuances of the business (film-making) from our past ventures, we are confident that in the association of RDB Group we would scale new heights'.
On the occasion, the audio of the movies 'Yen Ippadi Mayakkinai' and 'Vanam Patha Seemayile' were released. Sivasakthi Pandian, secretary, Tamil Film Producers Council, Sarath Kumar, president, South India Film Artistes Association and Radha Ravi, secretary of the association among others took part.
'Yen Ippadi Mayakkinai', produced by veteran producer Kovai Thambi for Pyramid Saimira, features Richard, Gayathri, Vainavi, Santhanam and Suman Shetty in the lead roles. Directed by Krishna of 'Sillunu Oru Kadhal' fame, the film has musical score by newcomer Lakshman Ramalingam.
'Vanam Patha Seemayile', produced by Amudha Durairaj for Pyramid Saimira, features Ashok, Priyanka, Ganja Karuppu and Vijayakumar in the lead roles. Directed by Jeppi Azhagar, the movie has musical score by Srikanth Deva.
Speaking on the occasion, Srikanth Deva said, ' I have made a name for myself scoring music for peppy songs. With 'Vanam Patha Semayile', I have proved all that I can also compose songs for earthy and rural themes'.
Lyricist Nandhalala, filmmaker Krishna, actors Richard, Ashok and others were present.
