The team of ‘Thillalangadi’ flew to Malaysia after finishing their 20-day schedule in Chennai. When the whole team was busy shooting in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur, a devastating calamity happened.

On October 1st, a massive earthquake struck Indonesia's West Sumatra province. The 7.6-magnitude earthquake struck the island and a resulting tsunami ravaged some islands in the South Pacific. An aftershock measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale was recorded, causing shakes in Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Johor of Kuala Lumpur. Nearly 200 general public residing near the shore were washed-out by the monster wave.

We contacted the film’s manager Senthil, he said, “Jayam Ravi and Tamannah, was lodging in a popular star hotel. When Tsunami attacked the city they felt the quake, and both rushed out and stayed in a safe place. We had even cancelled the shoot on that particular day.”

God... Sad episode, Lucky stars...
