An army major turned successful movie director, Major Ravi, who is known for his patriotic war movies like ‘Keerthichakra’ and ‘Kurukshetra’, will be soon making a movie on the theme of ‘Goondaism’, that the state is dangerously exposed to in recent days. He will be zeroing on the Omprakash issue, that is on the front pages of newspapers every day. He will tell through the film, how ordinary youths turn to such things to make a living. The director is yet to give details about the cast and crew of the movie.

But before this movie, Major Ravi will start ‘Madan Kolly’, another new movie in the horror genre in the scripts of Sunil Parameshwaran. The movie to be produced by P Raajan of Vaishakha films will have Prithviraj, for the first time in a Major Ravi movie. Rumours are also that ‘Madan Kolly’ will be the comeback movie for Kavya Madhavan, who quit her acting career following her marriage.
