India’s longest flag which is 1115 feet in length was made and used for the movie ‘Appavi’. The film stars veteran director K Bhagiyaraj besides newcomers Gowtham and Suhani in the lead. ‘Appavi’ is about how few anti-social elements try to create havoc in society and how few good souls try to prevent it.

The team of ‘Appavi’ had specially made a1115 feet long national flag for a jingoistic song sequence that features the hero. Sources add that the song is penned by veteran lyricist Vairamuthu. The song was picturised in 5 days with 500 college students participating in it.

‘Appavi’ is produced by V L Dhandapani under the banner of Devi Visions Pvt. Ltd. Raghuraj is also penning the story, screenplay and dialogues apart from directing the film. Music is composed by Joshua Sridhar and lyrics by Vairamuthu and Na. Muthukumar. Cinematography is done by E. Krishnaswamy and V.T. Vijayan takes care of editing. A good way to show the theme of the movie, we say!
