The Madras High Court has asked actor Kamal Haasan to respond to the allegations of Pyramid Saimira Production International against him.

The production company had alleged that he had breached a contract and failed to complete its Rs 100- crore movie 'Marmayogi'.

Pyramid had also stated that Kamal had commenced work on 'Eenadu' in gross violation of the terms of the agreement between them.

Under the pact, it said, the actor should not act in any other movie till 'Marmayogi' was completed and released, but he did for 'Eenadu'.

This film, co-produced by Raaj Kamal Films International Ltd and UTV, is scheduled for release this month.

The production house had sought recovery of the Rs 10. 9 crore it had reportedly paid to the actor and a ban on release of 'Eenadu'.
