You can call it a family affair. A song in Goa, Venkat Prabhu’s directorial venture after ‘Chennai 600028’ and ‘Saroja’, has been sung by the filmmaker along with his cousins, including music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja.

“The number will have voice inputs from my brothers Yuvan, Karthik Raja, Parthi Bhaskar, Premji and of course myself. It is a song which highlights the importance of family and friendship. Another song has been sung by our uncle Maestro Illayaraja,” he says.

On the movie, he says, “Everyone keeps marching ahead in life with lots of expectations, but many a times, the unexpected happens, which ends up being much better than the expected. This is what ‘Goa’ is all about.”

Saying that the movie is going to be fun-filled ride quite like his earlier ventures, Venkat adds: “"The name ‘Goa’ reminds one of joy, fun and entertainment. The movie will be a joyful ride for the audience. Hence, the title Goa,"

‘Goa’ is produced by Soundarya Rajinikanth for Ocher Studios. “I like the story that Venkat Prabhu narrated because it was so vibrant and young,” she says.
