Chief Minister M Karunanidhi's novel 'Suruli Malai', which is being made into a movie titled 'Nee Indri Naan Illai', has gone for an overhaul. The film's title has been changed and the director has been replaced.

The film was initially christened as 'Nee Indri Naan Illai'. It was announced that Ilavenil, who wielded the megaphone for 'Uliyin Osai' would direct the same.

According to producer Arumuganeri Murugesan, the movie has been given a revamp and director Ilavenil has been replaced by newcomer Bali Srirangam.

Murugesan also said that the movie's title has been changed from 'Nee Indri Naan Illai' to 'Pen Singam'.

The film features Uday Kiran, Meera Jasmine and Vivek in the lead roles.
