Written and directed by Lingusamy Paiya’s shoot is almost over. From an uncivilized rural youth in ‘Paruthiveeran’, Karthi is now utterly urbane software professional in ‘Paiya’. The shoot for the film that started at a highway near Bangalore has now extensively covered Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharastra. Around 80% of the movie is over and the remaining part of the movie involves a song and the climax scene. While the climax will be shot in Mumbai, the crew has recently left for Kerala to picturize a song sequence. A birdie says that ‘Paiya’ is a story of a young man and woman, who are on a journey from Bangalore to Mumbai in a car.

For some nameless reasons, Karthi's actual second project ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ is still in the cans, but this has not dampened the spirits of this aspiring actor. He is eagerly waiting for the release of ‘Paiya’ that has Tamannah opposite him.

Karthi has now signed his next project 'Naan Mahaan Alla' with ‘Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu’ director Suseendran. Karthi will be seen romancing Kajal Agarwal for this one soon after completing ‘Paiya’. Yuvan Shankar Raja will be scoring the music, while Mathi will be handling the camera.

Just one movie old, Karthi has a lot of fans waiting for his next release. With eager eyes shall we wait a little more for this star-kid?
