Kalaipuli S Thanu has spent more than Rs.60 Crores for ‘Kanthasamy’! When asked about the huge funds spent on the movie, “It would have been incorrect if I had not spent this much on a super hero subject like Kanthaswamy”, justifies director Susi Ganesan.

On August 15th the Regional Censor Board in Chennai cleared ‘Kanthasamy’’s Tamil version with a ‘U’ certificate, with cuts. The Telugu version of the film ‘Mallanna’ was cleared in Hyderabad on August 14th with a ‘UA’ certificate. The film will be releasing on August 21st.

Moser Baer and Blue Ocean Entertainment will have the trailer of ‘Kanden Kadhalai’ with all the theatrical copy of V Creation’s ‘Kanthaswamy’. Looks like a smart move, ‘Kanden Kadhalai’ will have a glad ride for its promotion with ‘Kanthaswamy’.

Now here is an interesting scoop to delight the confident team of ‘Kanthasamy’ and eager fans. Chiyan Vikram’s magnum opus has taken almost all the theatres in Chennai for its release. Moreover when the reservation was opened, an entire week’s tickets were sold out by the same afternoon. And that’s a record, people!

Wow… This is something like the biggest ever release for a south Indian film!
