Dharshan ‘Shourya’

The challenging star of Kannada cinema Darshan is once again in the remake film ‘Shouryam’ a Telugu film of Gopichand. ‘I am not against to remake films’ Darshan disclosed his films like ‘Bhagwan, Indira, Gaja’ were remade in other languages. Only when the point of view made in the film is very touching we are looking at it with some more modifications to our nativity. We do not repeat the same artists in the supporting cast Darshan explained giving the example of his latest film ‘Porkhi’ that is a remake of ‘Pokkiri’.

In this Telugu film ‘Shouryam’ remake Darshan is donning the cop role once again. It is this cop role that immaculately suits him and he is compared to earlier days of Vinod Khanna of Hindi cinema. ‘I do not look at my sister till the end of the film but finally I turn back when she says ‘Anna’ – Darshan added that it is taking up the second sister sentiment film out of 39 films from the days of ‘Majestic’. The earlier sister sentiment cinema of Darshan was ‘Thangigaagi’.

The remake of ‘Shouryam’ went on the floors at Kanteerava studios on Wednesday morning. Sadhu Kokila the renowned music director, comedy actor and director is taking up third film of Darshan. In the past he had directed ‘Suntaragali’ and ‘Anatharu’.

I am giving very special songs in this film say Sadhu Kokila who promises to take up a straight subject film after this film. He is shooting in Mangalore, Karwar, Bellary, Belgaum and Mysore for this film.

Basavaraj of Kannada film ‘Swamee’ starring Darshan and ‘Geleya’ as a co producer is the producer of this untitled film that is starting shooting at one stretch from September 5.
