If reports are to be believed, the next actor to hold on to the mike for a song in his own film will be none other than our Suriya. Director Hari, who is all set to begin his next project with Suriya, titled ‘Singam’, is planning on making Suriya sing for the film.

The trend of heroes singing their own songs is soon catching up in the industry, and many in the film fraternity are welcoming the decision. This, they believe, will make the films and songs look more real, instead of having a professional singer sing for the actors.

After many heroes like Vikram, Vijay, Bharath, Silambarasan, Prashanth and Kamal Haasan, it seems to be Suriya’s turn to sing for a film.

This will definitely turn out to be a special album if Suriya really grabs the mike. One of the reasons for that is that the film actually is Suriya’s 25th film. And sexy starlet Anushka is pairing up with the actor for the first time in this flick. Shooting for the film, which will mostly be down south, like most of Hari’s films, is expected to begin in September.
