Director Perarasu, who is known for naming his films after different villages and towns, seems to have given up that policy for his next flick! The film, which was originally supposed to be titled ‘Thirumangalam’, has now been named ‘Murasu’.

The film will have Bharath in the lead. It may be remembered that Perarasu and Bharath had earlier worked for ‘Pazhani’. But it turned out that the title ‘Thirumangalam’ had been registered already by Rajkiran as ‘Thirumangalathil Yaanai’.

Perarasu, who has already directed films like Thirupathy, Sivakasi, Thiruvannamalai and Dharmapuri, seems to have given up his love for area titles by calling the Bharath film ‘Murasu’ now. The film is expected to be an action entertainer like all of Perarasu’s films so far.

Perarasu, meanwhile, is also one of the contenders for directing Vijay’s 50th film, which has tentatively been titled ‘Urimai Kural’.
