Wondered why Adada in Sarvvam and Un Mela Aasai dhaan in Aayirathil oruvan sound alike? Despite it being common for songs with similar instrumentation to sound alike, the resemblance that these two songs shared was obvious. And now, we know why.

‘Aayirathil Oruvan’, directed by Selva Raghavan, has music by GV Prakash. But it may be remembered that the original music director for the film was Yuvan Shankar Raja, who later opted out of the project. But he had already completed two songs in the film, one of which later went on to become Adada in ‘Sarvam’.

But the song had been picturised, and dance movements canned, before Yuvan dropped out. So director Selva Raghavan had apparently insisted with GV Prakash to have a similar song to match the visuals shot.

Yuvan Shankar Raja, not wanting to leave this tune unused, shared it with another of his favourite directors, Vishnuvardhan.

‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ has Karthi and Andrea in the lead, and has been produced by Dream Valley Corporation.
