With Aayirathil Oruvan finally heading for an audio launch later this week, there finally is a smile on Karthi’s face. But AO isn’t the only reason for it.

If the actor inadvertently gave over a two year gap for his second film after his first, he really isn’t ready to repeat the folly. Karthi’s third film, Paiyya with Tamannaah, is on at breakneck speed, and reports have it that over 65 percent of the shoot has been completed already.

Paiyya is being directed by Lingusamy, apart from being his home production. It is said to be a love story with a twist, with the road playing an important part in it, implying that a lot of shooting happens in highways in the film.

The crew of the film will next proceed for Mumbai, where a hectic 25-day schedule has been planned. Shooting for the flick will go on in different places in Mumbai and Pune.

The film has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, and so far, three songs have been composed.
