It’s not often that a new actor finds himself surrounded by sensible movie offers. Actor Akil is surely lucky in that regard. The actor found his entry card into Kollywood with one of the most acclaimed films in recent years, ‘Kalloori’, and then went on to win a good movie offer.

The actor sees to have proven that he isn’t just lucky but talented as well, by getting himself a second role of substance, in ‘Vaalmiki’. This film is being directed by one of Shankar’s former associates, Ananth Narayan, and has music by Illayaraja.

The music of this film is being released tomorrow, in Sathyam Cinemas. Director Shankar is being invited as the chief guest for the film, which has Illayaraja, director Lingusamy and many more, present at the event. This film has been bought by Vikatan Talkies, which first produced the smashing success, ‘Siva Manasula Shakthi’.

Producers Rama Narayanan, Kalaipuli G Shekar and Abirami Ramanathan will also be present at the occasion.
