It was an event which saw well wishers and friends that director Saran had earned for himself display their affection for the director. “If I have five years as a filmmaker, I’d like to dedicate half of that to director Saran, who was primarily a keen cartoonist.

He was the first person to congratulate me on seeing 'Chithiram Pesudhadi' and I hope this talented filmmaker keeps making more films,” said director Mysskin, while Vairamuthu chose to dwell on Saran’s Mr Clean family life. “He is the only filmmaker that I have seen taking his family along with him when he goes on foreign shoots,” Vairamuthu said. And this was an idea reiterated by actor Vinay as well, who said he saw in Saran the Best Dad, a Good Husband and a real friend.

Yuhi Sethu attributed a lot of Saran’s success to his associated who helped him immeasurably. Director Saran, while bowing to all praise, chose to call Vinay a special friend of his. “We will definitely work in more projects,” the director said.

'Modhi Vilaiyadu' has Vinay and Kajal Agarwal in the lead and has music by Hariharan and Leslie Lewis. The music album, which was out last week, was innovatively launched by journalists.
