Actor Karan, who is currently working on Kanakavel Kaaka and Kanda, is waiting for the release of his village flick, Malayan, whose audio was launched yesterday. Them movie has music by Dhina and is directed by Gopi, a former assistant to director SA Chandrasekar.

This is my third film with the same producers Three Sum. We had earlier teamed up for Kokki and Karuppasamy Kuthagaidharar and both films were big hits for me. Hopefully, this movie will also work the same trick, said the actor, who pairs up with Kanchivaram Shammu for the film.

Kollywood’s who’s who attended the event, from director KS Ravikumar to AK Murugadoss. The movie’s simple folk tunes won Dhina a lot of appreciation, while all guests contended that Karan’s determination to make it big will help him succeed soon.

Shammu, whose debuted with Kamal’s Dasavathaaram, said she was glad that she had picked this role, which was her favorite one so far. Also present at the occasion were KRG, directors Pravinkanth, Rajesh, Prabhu Solomon, actress Anjali and lyricist Snehan.
