Actor Vivek and his love for literature is well known. After playing Thamizh Kirukkan in a film in which he made a dig at the state of the classical language today, he is all set to play Thamizdasan in a film in which he says a Thirukkural with explanation in every scene.

The film, ‘Iththanai Naalaai Engirundhai’, is being directed by R Balu, and features Anandhakannan and Varshini in the lead. Vivek is said to be playing an important character of a Tamil lover in the film, with the character name of Thamizdasan.

“Everytime director SP Mutuhraman spoke on stage, he would being with a Thirukkural. Likewise, in every scene of mine in the film, I would end with a Thirukkural along with its explanation,” announced the actor, who said the aim of this was to increase knowledge of the Kural among the Tamilians.
