Remember Geethu Mohandas, the perky young heroine who played Madhavan’s love in the rib tickler Nala Dhamayanthi? She has currently completed the shoot of her first film, Kekkunundo, in Malayalam.

The actress, who acted only in ‘Poi’ and ‘Nala Dhamayanthi’ in Tamil, had not tasted a lot of success here. She then found greener pastures in Kerala, and was doing a few films in Malayalam. She has now turned director with this film.

Ask her what the film is about, and she says “We always talk about welfare for the people. But does it really affect them? If so, in which way? My film is about that.” The film spans only thirty minutes and has been shot completely.

“We are in the post production stage for this film and I really enjoy direction. I’m going to follow this up by directing a Hindi film,” says the actress.
