Dance maestro and director Prabhu Devas first Hindi project, 'Wanted' , has been long in the making but the movie is finally ready to see the light of day! 'Wanted' stars the hunky Salman Khan in the lead, with the vivacious Ayesha Takia as his lady love. The movie is being produced by Boney Kapoor and also has veteran actor Vinod Khanna in the role of Salman Khans father.
As of now the movie is scheduled to be released on July 3, 2009, coinciding with the release of another Khan starrer, Main Aur Mrs. Khanna. 'Wanted' is a remake of the Tamil hit 'Pokiri' starring Vijay, which in itself was a remake of the Telugu movie of the same name with Magesh Babu in the lead.
Prabhu Deva is so determined to make this movie a success that hes looking at launching an aggressive campaign to promote it. Given that the South Indian versions of 'Wanted' were blockbusters, could Prabhu Deva be looking at a hat trick?
