In the changing phase of Kollywood, it’s the time to look out for more technological advancements inherited from the western countries. Yup! The latest arrival in town is ‘Silicon Imagine Camera’ often termed as ‘SI2K Digital Camera’ which is an excellent launch in Tamil Film Industry.

Indeed, it’s the same High-Definition Camera that was utilized for Danny Boyle’s ‘Slumdog Millionaire’. The HD-Cam has extraordinary features of 160 GB Capacity that can record non-stop for 4hrs duration. On the pars, the canned shots can be extensively viewed on the monitor output attached to the camera.

The gadget offers the same resolution of a ‘Film Camera’ and requires the same lighting source for perfect imaging. The weightless camera can be carried on free-hands sans tripods and that’s the highlight of this cam, where even the most complicated shots can be record with ease.

At the moment, the producers of the film ‘Aaranya Kandam’ have planned to capture the shots with SI2K while filmmaker-cinematographer K.V. Anand has planned to make his next film with this HD-Cam. Well, for the producers, they can call it ‘a boon’ as the camera costs merely Rs. 50 lakhs if you need to own one and a mere Rs.25, 000 is required if you need to rent it.

Earlier, it was 'Red One' HD Camera that made high waves but the arrival of SI2K has put the red one a couple of slots behind. This cam would undoubtedly make producers on gleeful just for its mere for the 'cost effective' attributes.
