The concept of stepping into film industry as a villain and later getting promoted to being a hero has worked wonders for many stars in South Indian Cinema.

Even though, Gopichand made his debut as a hero with ‘Tholi Valapu’, it was ‘Jayam’ which bought him to limelight. He turned a villain with ‘Jayam’ which reaped wide accolades from the audience leading him to play the antagonist in ‘Nijam’ and ‘Varsham’.

He made his second stint in the lead with ‘Yagnam’ directed by AS Ravi and produced by Pokuri Babu Rao on Etharam Films banner. The movie became a blockbuster hit smashing box office records and a new image for Gopichand arrived. From then on, there was no looking back and he is now one of the hit action hero in tinsel town.

Film Nagar sources have arrived upon a new piece of info which sounds surprising. Gopichand will be seen again in the anti-hero role! Venkatesh will be playing the male lead in this upcoming movie which will be directed by Sreenu Vaitla.
