Director Selvah has commenced shooting for 'Nootruku Nooru', a remake of yesteryear hit titled the same starring Jayashankar. The remake version featuring Vinay as the male protagonist is interestingly produced by veteran director director K Balachander's Kavithalaya Films. It was KB, who wielded the megaphone for the original version.

According to Selvah, 'the movie is about a youth, who finds himself in a spot of bother after he comes across five women in his life. The new version features Sneha donning the role enacted by Lakshmi, 'Kadhal' Sandhya in the place of Sri Vidya, popular Telugu actress Neelima for Vijaya Lalitha, yesteryear heroine Kasthoori in the place of Jaykumari and Karthika in the role enacted by Lalitha.

Says Selvah, 'everyone have a part to play in the movie. I have already with five heroines for my earlier film Nan Avan Illai. All the actresses are co-operative and shooting is on at brisk pace without any trouble'.

On remaking the film, Selvah, says, 'it has a theme that is relevant for any day. We have made few changes in the script to suit the contemporary audience'.
