If anyone can be termed a busy bee in the Tamil film industry these days it has to be Bharathiraja. The veteran filmmaker who had made evergreen films in 'Alaigal Oyvathillai', 'Karuthamma', 'Kizhake Pogum Rayil', '16 Vayathinile' 'Sigapu Rojakkal', 'Mudhal Mariyathai', 'Kadalorak Kavithaigal' and the like does not show any signs of taking it easy.

'Bommalattam' featuring Nana Patekar and directed by Bharathiraja has opened well across the state. In the recently concluded elections for the post of President in the Directors' Association, Bharathiraja had a thumping victory. The veteran filmmaker will also be seen playing a prominent role in the film 'Rettaisuzhi' which is produced by the reputed production house S Pictures. The film also stars veteran director K. Balachander. The film is written and directed by Thamira.

Bharathiraja seems to have cinema as his driving force even after proving time and again that he is a good filmmaker. This is truly a wonderful sign for youngsters to emulate.
