It was an event to remember for many who were associated with the music album launch of Anita Udeep's maiden Tamil film 'Kulir 100°'. When debutant music director Bobo Sashi called upon his parents to proudly present his maiden album to them and when director Anita Udeep called her proud parents on stage, hugging them thankfully for all that they mean to her one could feel the intensity with which the team behind 'Kulir 100°' had worked to churn out the film.

The music album was however officially released by Gautham Vasudev Menon and the first copy was received by editor Lenin. Bobo Sashi is from the family of musician Deva and is already making it big thanks to some vibrant and peppy numbers in the album.

A lot of talent was on display during the launch ceremony. Purple Patch, an all-girls band performed on stage. Interestingly this talented band had been in obscurity until Anita Udeep accidentally heard their music and decided to showcase their talent in her film. Some members of Bobo Sashi's team also performed a funky number much to the delight of the audience. Actor Jai sang the song 'Manasellam' that features in the album. The voice for the song that features in the album however is that of Simbu's.

Speaking on the occasion Gautham Vasudev Menon said that he was extremely happy to see a woman direct a film and hoped that many more ladies would be encouraged to take to filmmaking'.

Actor-director Parthiban was as usual the pick among the speakers with his casual and yet witty remarks. 'I like the film's title a lot. It has the irony element which is good' he said. Other prominent guests Abhirami Ramanathan, editor Lenin, Prakash Raj, Deva and V. Chandrasekharan spoke on the occasion.

'Kulir 100°' is a vibrant tale about a 12th standard boy and the story delves deep into his experiences that are influenced by emotions and the spirit of youth. Though this is Anita Udeep's first film in Tamil, she has already directed the English film 'Knock Knock I am looking to marry' and the animated flick 'Gulliver's Travels'.

'Kulir 100°' is expected to grace theaters after Pongal.
