Bharathirajaa is the new president of TFDA

Veteran director Bharathirajaa has been elected the president of the Tamil Film Directors Association. At the elections for the association held in Chennai on Sunday he defeated his arch-rival and yesteryear director R C Sakthi by a margin of 363 votes. R K Selvamani was elected as the secretary of the association.
Earlier, polling was held at Film Chamber amidst tight security on Sunday. Directors lined up in large numbers to cast their votes. Parthiban, Ramesh Khanna, Sathyaraj, Seeman, Sundararajan among others were present during the nomination.
The victory of Bharathirajaa and his team sparked off celebrations on Sunday night. Crackers were burnt and sweets were distributed.
