It's a day to rejoice not just for Rajnikanth fans but also for the fans of actor – director Cheran. The man known for making meaningful movies in Tamil Cinema also celebrates his birthday on the 12th of December.

If Rajinikanth is shooting for Sultan: The Warrior on his birthday, Cheran too is quietly working for his film 'Pokkisham'.

Winner of several awards and accolades, Cheran let his movies like 'Vetri Kodi Kattu', 'Desiya Geetham', 'Pandavar Bhoomi', 'Autograph' and 'Thavamai Thavamirundhu' do all the talking. A man with immense talent and liking for earthy themes that reflect real life, Cheran has carved a niche for himself acting in movies like Raman Thediya Seethai.
