Actor Sarath kumar has reveled in dual roles and most of them have turned out to be super hits. The actor is once again donning a double role - that of father and son in the film 1977.

'It has got nothing to do with sentiments. I accept offers only if the subject requires me to do dual roles. Such is the case with '1977' ", he explains.

Sarath is currently working in a Malayalam historical 'Pazhassi Raja'. Written by M T Vasudevan Nair and directed by Hariharan, the title role is played by Mammootty while Sarath plays a trusted commander-in-chief.

On his daughter Varalaxmi's debut in Kollywood with 'Poda Podi', the daddy said, ' she is an MBA graduate from Edinburgh University. Varalaxmi is also a well-trained dancer and it is decision to work in films. The script of the movie suits her and also gives her an opportunity to showcase her dancing prowess. She is sensitive to social issues and wants to lend a helping hand to the needy,' he says.
