Actor Thiagarajan remakes his yesteryear super hit 'Malayur Mammatiyan'. His son Prashanth will play the lead role, which was played by Thiagarajan in the original.
Meera Jasmine who has been inconsistent regarding her call sheets was opted out of the movie 'Anandhapurathu Vedu' of S Pictures, directed by Naga as its allegedly being said that she messed up with her dates.
But the actress keeps being flooded with offers for her higher level of acting proficiency and talents. Meera, who has been set to cast in the movies 'Mariyadhai' and 'Adi Narayana', is being considered by Thiagarajan to enact Saritha's role in the original.
Vadivelu would replace comedian Senthil in this remake.
The new version has been titled as 'Mammatiyan' and Thiagarajan would produce and direct this flick. The film has been planned to be shot in the dense forests of remote villages in Tamilnadu.
