''In my 26th year of making films, when I come up with 'Rathri Mazha', What I feel is that the troubles for getting good movies to theatres has increased many fold, than the time I did my first film 'Venal'. The present situation in Mollywood where everything had become commoditized is a danger signal to quality cinema,'' Filmmaker Lenin Rajendran said on Saturday.

He was participating in a post release meet the press, after his latest film 'Rathri Mazha, featuring Meera Jasmine and Vineeth.

'' ‘Rathri Mazha' is an attempt at portraying the angst of a paralyzed artist - a dancer, to make it big in his field. I have adopted a different narrative for the movie with poetic dialogues, in all the dreamy sessions.'' said Lenin Rajendran.

He was also in the view that quality cinema always thrives on good content, rather than in technical perfection. And if technical brilliance were the last word in determining the quality, then best cinemas would have been those produced by Hollywood.
