Sindhu Tolani was introduced to Tamil audiences through the film 'Manmadhan'. She made quite a name for herself with the film. After a few other movies the actress went over to the Telugu film industry.

Her comeback film is with 'Pandhayam' directed by S. A. Chandrasekhar, where she co-stars alongside Nithin Sathya. When asked if she had any dream to become the No. 1 actress in Tamil Cinema, the actress retorted by saying, 'I don't believe in number games. I want to perform well in whatever character I am cast in'.

When asked why she had accepted to play second heroine in a Telugu film that was released recently, the actress said she would go by the substance of the role rather than being branded just as a heroine without much to do other than sway hips in song sequences.

Sindhu Tolani plays a homely character with adequate doses of glamour in 'Pandhayam' and considers the film to be her comeback vehicle to Tamil films.
