Nandita Das's directorial debut film 'Firaque' has been chosen to be screened at the prestigious Toronto Film Festival which will take place from the 5th of September.

'Firaque' made in Hindi is a moving tale that highlights the distress caused by violence in society. With reference to the gory Gujarat riots the film has managed rave reviews for showcasing humanness.

Nandita Das is very popular among Tamil movie audiences because of her stunning performances in the films 'Azhagi' directed by Tangar Bachchan and 'Kannathil Muthamittal' directed by Mani Ratnam.
