Actress Priyamani is over the moon at winning the national award for best actress for her role in 'Paruthiveeran'. However she is annoyed at similar offers coming her way regularly.

Says Priyamani, “No doubt an actress has to do varied roles. But I don't want myself to be typecast as an actress who can only do off-beat ventures”.

“After 'Paruthiveeran', ‘Malaikottai’ happened and I played a glamdoll in it”, she says.

She is currently acting with Prithviraj for 'Ninaithalae Inikkum', a remake of the Malayalam hit ‘Classmates’. She has been signed opposite Bharath for 'Arumugham', which is to be directed by Suresh Krishna. She would also commence shooting for Manirathinam's film which is slated to start this September.

"I don't know what role I am playing in Mani sir's film. He approached me and I readily agreed to do his project. No actress can resist his call", she says.
